Remember, only incarcerated offenders are included in this online state offender locator. 

How to Perform an Inmate Search  

Following these easy steps to use the offender locator: 

Step 1: Go to the offender search page. 

Step 2: To find an inmate, use one of the following criteria: 

• Last name 
• First name 
• TDCJ Number 
• The State Identification Number (SID) 
• To narrow the Search, enter an inmate's gender and race. 

Step 3: Get the results for inmates that match your search criteria. 

Step 4: Click on the inmate's name for more details about their status.
