The South Dakota Department of Corrections (SDDOC) oversees South Dakota's adult prison system, juvenile corrections system, and adult parole system. These young convicts have dedicated themselves to the agency and are housed in residential out-of-home placement and aftercare programs. Inmate Search Process 

The DOC has a database with all the public data on inmates sentenced in all state correctional facilities. The information is from the court system and is revealed to the public. The department has an offender locator tool where interested parties can easily search for their imprisoned friends. 

Here's the step-by-step guide on how to locate an inmate: 

Step 1: First, log in to the South Dakota offender's locator website. 

Step 2: Enter the inmate's first and last name or the DOC number and click the "Search" icon 

Step 3: The list with inmates' names matching the details entered pops up. Pick the convict of your interest to access more profile details. 

Step 4: For further search, click on the inmate's DOC Number to obtain additional details such as; 

• Gender 
• Race 
• Eye color 
• Name of imprisonment facility 
• Crimes committed 
• Inmate's height 
• Weight 
• Release and sentencing dates
