To conduct a Pennsylvania state inmate search online, you must visit the Pennsylvania offender locator and read the disclaimer on their website before using the offender locator. 

The steps to navigating the Pennsylvania offender lookup are listed below. 

Step 1: Visit the Pennsylvania Offender locator and select the search type you want to carry out. The kind of search can either be an inmate locator search or a parolee locator search. 

Step 2: Type in the search criteria starting with the inmate's names. You can then narrow down the search results by including inmate number, gender, location, and date of birth if you have the information. 

Step 3: You will receive a list of inmates with matching names that you can review and identify your inmate. 

Step 4: You can upload an inmate photo on the Locator to narrow your results further. 

Step 5: Click on the inmate number to get more details about the inmate's custody status in Pennsylvania. The additional custody status information you will access includes the inmate or parolee's name, county of residence, race, date of birth, prison location, registration number, and release date. 

The offender locator does not provide information about the type of treatment the inmate is receiving at the state prison and does not provide data on non-Pennsylvania inmates and parolees.
