Planning Land Use Coalition
The Montcalm Land Use Coalition is working to preserve Montcalm County's quality of life through land use awareness, education and planning. It was formed in 2001 when community leaders and members of the general public identified a need for an intentional discussion on land use issues.

The following principles guide Coalition activities:

1. We are "Masters of our own Destiny." We believe that Montcalm County residents should take the lead in planning future land use decisions in the county.

2. Land use choices that are implemented should be supported by informed stakeholders. This entails shared knowledge, shared decision making and shared plan development.
