Family Assistance is a focal point of information by providing six essential services in times of contingency call up, mobilization, and large scale deployments. Family Assistance is critical in providing help to all military families during these long term or short term deployments. The Grand Valley regional Family Assistance Center provides assistance and referrals for families including those in Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Osceola, and Ottawa Counties. There are other regional centers across Michigan.

Veterans Workforce Investment Program addresses the unique needs of veterans seeking employment. Serving Clare, Gladwin, Ionia, Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm and Oseola Counties. Goodwill assists eligible veterans in a variety of areas relating to job training, placement, and retention with an emphasis on green career fields.
